Counselling cum Awareness Workshop on PMSSS  organised in PSPS GCW Gandhinagar

JAMMU, July 08: Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women Gandhinagar Jammu organised a Counselling cum Awareness Workshop on Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, 2023-24 for the aspiring students of Jammu region.

Prof. Ajeet Angral,  Consultant AICTE, SAGB was the expert speaker of the workshop. He emphasised that the Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh was introduced to foster education in the region. In his presentation, he focused on the eligibility criteria and guidelines for applying for the scholarship scheme.

Dr. Rajindera Baliram Kakde, Advisor (Approval), AICTE, New Delhi, in his address, deliberated on the purpose of this Counselling cum Awareness Workshop. He stressed that the workshop is aimed at creating a nurturing environment where students and stakeholders can explore opportunities, gain insights, and seek guidance from experts regarding the scholarship scheme.

Prof. Minu Mahajan, Principal of the host College, appreciated the efforts of AICTE in organising this workshop. In her address, she reiterated that the objective of this workshop was to ensure that every student under the scheme receives comprehensive support.

The event culminated with a question answer session which provided an inclusive platform to the students and the stakeholders to interact with the experts, put forth their queries, and share their experiences.

The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries, esteemed faculty members, students, parents, and other stakeholders from various educational institutions. A total of 1343 students registered for the workshop which was held in two sessions. The proceedings of the event were conducted by Dr. Suraj Mohini Jamwal.

Dr. Neetu Raina, Coordinator, in her Vote of Thanks, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all the esteemed guests, speakers, and participants who contributed to the success of the workshop and gratitude towards the Principal of the College for her constant support and guidance. She attributed the success of the Workshop to the relentless efforts and dedication of the organizing committee, faculty members, and the supportive staff of PSPS GCW Gandhinagar Jammu.
