Highlights Various Burning Issues Of General Public

JAMMU, July 12: A delegation of ” BJP Minority Morcha” under the leadership of its National President Jamal Saddiqui accompanied by Ranjodh Singh Nalwa BJP Minority Morcha President JK UT met Lt Governor Jammu And Kashmir Manoj Kumar Sinha in Raj Bhawan at Srinagar on Wednesday. The delegation presented a memorandum listing demands for resolution of various problems being faced by the public of the UT.

According to a press release, the delegates which also included Bashir Ahmed Khan State Prabhari J&K Minority Morcha apprised the Lt Governor about the inclusion of Punjabi in the list of official languages in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Union Cabinet on September 2 approved a bill under which Kashmiri, Dogri and Hindi, apart from the existing Urdu and English, will be the official languages in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, release quoting Jamal Saddiqui said and added that on the same pattern, Punjabi should be included in the list of official languages in J&K.

The memorandum further incorporated demand that Mujawirs and Sajada Nashins of Dargahs in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir who have been ousted by the newly constituted Waqaf Boards be rehabilitated so as to ensure that their livelihood may not get affected, release added.

However, Lt Governor while assuring the delegation of early action in response to the points depicting problems so highlighted in the memorandum said that the concerned departments dealing with the projected demands shall be directed to mitigate the sufferings of the public of J&K on priority with out further delay.
