Jal Jeevan Mission: ADDC reviews progress of ongoing works at Weekly Meeting
KISHTWAR, JULY 13: Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Sham Lal today reviewed the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission here at weekly meeting held in his office chamber and attended by key officials including the Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Divisional Forest Officer Kishtwar, Assistant Executive Engineers, District Coordinator DPMU, Junior Engineers, Third Party Inspection team and Contractors.
Several important matters were discussed in detail including the status of tendering and allotment, component-wise progress of ongoing schemes, forest clearances, water quality and testing, coverage of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), and the conduct of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities.
The Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Kishtwar provided an update on the current status of all ongoing activities under the Jal Jeevan Mission. It was informed that out of the total 129 schemes, 108 schemes have been allotted, with work started on 85 schemes. The work on the rest allotted work will be started this week.
The chair directed the contractors for maintaining the quality of work as per specifications and also instructed the TPI team for timely checking the quality of work.
The contractors also raised their issues being faced by them during execution like forest clearances, Laying and fitting of pipes from the PMGSY roads and through the fields.
The chair assured them of full cooperation and called for holding a coordination meeting with other departments for smooth execution of JJM works.
The meeting emphasised on the uploading of the remaining schemes on the Parvesh portal, conduct of IEC activities in accordance with the allotted schedules, the achievement of the monthly target for FHTCs and conduct of monthly water quality testing as per schedule.
