DIET in collaboration with ZEO organises FLN-TLM Mela
Leh, July 20: District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh in collaboration with Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) organised Zonal Level Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) Mela under National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading and Understanding Numeracy (NIPUN) Bharat Mision in Nubra Zone.
Deputy Chairman LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk graced the event as chief guest Tehsildar, Tashi Jorgais was the guest of honor.
Deputy Chairman lauded the effort of DIET Leh & ZEO office Nubra for organizing the event and the effort of the schools in showcasing their innovative & creative ideas in the form of TLMs. He urges the teachers to bring in use such innovation and creativity during the classes to make learning more fun and enjoyable.
Similarly, FLN-TLM Mela was held at Nyoma under NIPUN Bharat Mission. SDM Nyoma, Jigmat Angchuk graced the event as the chief guest, and ZEO Nyoma, Nawang Namgail was present as the guest of honor.
SDM, Jigmat Angchuk stressed that these kinds of TLM mela will help in improving the overall standard of education in Ladakh.
A total of 53 schools including a private school participated in Nubra Zone and 30 schools in Nyoma Zone. Many creative and innovative ideas were displayed in the form of TLM by school participants. They also shared their experiences during the valedictory session.
Later, the winners were declared in which Govt High School Panamik bagged the first position, Govt. Middle School Sumoor as second and Govt. Middle School Chamshen
as third respectively. Whereas in Nyoma Zone, Govt High School Puga bagged first position, Middle School Tarchit as second and High School Anley as third position.
