DC Rajouri reviews progress of ultra high density Apple plantation

RAJOURI, July 20:  Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a meeting to review the progress made in ultra high density apple plantation in the district.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Chief Horticulture Officer, Madan Lal and Lead District Manager, Sanjeev Bhasin.

At the outset, the Chief Horticulture Officer provided an update on the progress of the scheme in the district. He informed the meeting that a total of 57 beneficiaries have adopted the ultra high density apple plantation method in the district, and the results have been very encouraging. He also mentioned that the department is providing all necessary support and guidance to the farmers to ensure the success of the scheme.

The Lead District Manager assured the meeting that the banks will provide all necessary support and financial assistance to the farmers who are interested in adopting the ultra high density apple plantation method.

The DC appreciated the efforts of the horticulture department and the lead bank in promoting the ultra high density apple plantation method in the district. He urged all stakeholders to work together for the success of the scheme and to boost the horticulture sector in the district.

The meeting thoroughly reviewed the progress of the ultra high density apple plantation and discussed the ways to further promote the scheme among the farmers.
