DC Kupwara leads critical Change of Land Use meet, Stresses swift disposal of cases

In a decisive move to expedite Change of Land Use (CLU) cases and ensure efficient land management, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kupwara, Sudan Ayushi, chaired a crucial meeting dedicated to this vital issue.

The meeting aimed to streamline the process of land use conversions and provide clarity on the necessary procedures for timely disposal of CLU cases, as per the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety (PSGA) Act.

The meeting, attended by key officials from various departments, took place at the DC office in Kupwara. It served as a platform for comprehensive discussions on the significance of timely and quality submissions of comments and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from relevant departments. These submissions play a crucial role in expediting the CLU process and ensuring adherence to the established legal provisions.

DC Sudan Ayushi, the presiding officer of the meeting, emphasized the importance of effective coordination among departments involved in CLU cases. She urged them to submit their comments and NOCs within the stipulated timeframe to facilitate the smooth processing of land use conversions.
