Baramulla police busts Timber smuggling racket in Mayan forests; 2 arrested, 35 illicit Timber planks seized
In a major breakthrough, the Baramulla Police successfully apprehended two timber smugglers involved in the illegal cutting down of forest timber in the ecologically sensitive Mayan Forests.

The arrest took place following an intensive operation conducted by the police, resulting in the recovery of 35 illicit timber planks from the accused.
A case has been registered against the smugglers, sending a stern message against such environmentally harmful activities.
The two timber smugglers, whose identities have been withheld pending an ongoing investigation, were immediately taken into custody. The authorities are determined to identify any potential accomplices and bring them to justice as well.
