Jitendra Singh urges Railway Minister to temporarily halt Jammu Mail Train at Kathua’s Chhan Rorian amid local concerns

In a significant move aimed at providing relief to the distressed residents of Kathua’s Chhan Rorian, Union Minister Jitendra Singh has written a heartfelt letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, requesting the temporary halting of Jammu Mail Train No 14033/14034 at Chhan Rorian station.

The decision, if approved, is expected to alleviate the suffering of the local population while the damaged road bridge is being restored.

The disruption in road connectivity has severely impacted the daily lives and economic activities of the local residents, causing significant hardships.

In his letter, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh acknowledged the gravity of the situation and highlighted the urgency to address the immediate transportation needs of the affected populace.

He emphasized that halting trains temporarily at the Chhan Rorian railway station would offer a lifeline to the community, allowing them to access essential goods, services, and medical facilities without undue hardships.
