Priyanka Chopra Supports Oscar Film Chhello Show Screening In LA

The film federation of India in 2022 announced that the Gujrati Film, Chhello Show (The Last Film Show), was selected as India’s entry for the 2023 Oscars. The film was directed by Pan Nalin, starring Bhavin Rabari, Bhavesh Shrimali, Richa Meena, Dipen Raval and Paresh Mehta. The team of the film went to L.A. for its screening which was hosted by Priyanka Chopra at the residence of Isha Ambani Parimal.

Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram handle and shared an album of three pictures from the event and captioned it, “The least I can do is always support the industry that taught me all I know about my job. So proud of the amazing movies that come out of Indian cinema. ‘Chhello Show’ being one of the special ones. Good luck team! Go get ’em.”

She added, “P.S. Chhello Show (Last Film Show) – a regional language movie (Gujurati) which has been selected as India’s Official Entry to the Best International Feature Film category at the 95th Academy Awards. Written and directed by Pan Nalin, this incredible film revolves a 9 year old’s @iambhavinrabari fascination with Cinema.”

Later she thanked Isha Ambani Parimal for lending her home for the screening of the movie and wrote, “P.P.S. Thank you @_iiishmagish for lending the team your L.A. home for the screening!”

In the first picture, Priyanka Chopra is seen with director Pan Nalin, Dheer Momaya and child artist Bhavin Rabari. In the second picture, she is seen laughing with Kal Penn; in the last picture, she is posing with the child actor Bhavin Rabari. Priyanka Chopra looks adorable in a black dress pairing it with golden loop earrings.

The director of the movie, Pan Nalin, also took to his Instagram handle to share the carousel of pictures and wrote, “Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas hosted a screening and dinner reception of Last Film Show (Chhello Show) in Los Angeles. The film, which is India’s Official Entry to the Oscars, has been shortlisted by The Academy for the Best International Feature Film award at the 95th Academy Awards.”

The producer of the movie David Dubinsky also took to his Instagram profile and shared a few pictures and videos from the dinner party and wrote , “With Priyanka Chopra, actress, model, and producer (married to Nick Jonas) at the movie screening and reception of Last Film Show, a coming of age drama of a boy from a remote village in India who discovers the joys of the movie theater just as digital projection changes the game. It is India’s submission to the Academy Awards and was just shortlisted in Best International feature film category. Available on Netflix.”
