Forest Department, GDC Doda plant tree saplings under ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign
DODA, July 29: As Centre plans nationwide events from 9th to 15th August, on the same lines the Forest Division Doda, in collaboration with the NCC students of Government Degree College Doda and its faculty members planted saplings of broad leaf species along the Ghat-Doda road under Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign.
It being the viable season for broadleaf species, so aptly the plantation has been done under “Meri Mati Mera Desh” -a scheme of the Rural Development ministry.
On the occasion, more than 100 saplings were planted. It is pertinent to mention here that the Forest Division Doda keep on planting saplings under different schemes like JK Green Drive, One Beat guard One Village, Har Gaon Haryali, Ek Ped Beti ke Naam etc.
The plantation was carried out under the supervision of DFO, Ravinder Singh, who was also present on the occasion.
Municipal Councillor Ramesh Kumar, NCC Cadets, College faculty among others took part in the plantation.
