MVD Reasi organises medical camp for commercial drivers

REASI, July 31: Motor Vehicle Department (MVD), under the aegis of ARTO, on Monday organized a medical camp-cum-awareness programme here at Tempo Stand.

District Health Officer Dr Ashok Kumar, along with a team of paramedical staff, conducted eyesight tests and general health checkup of the drivers. All the commercial Drivers and conductors present at stand and some road users also availed the facilities.

A pledge on Road safety norms and Nasha Mukt was administered by ARTO, Tara Mani Sharma to the Drivers and conductors present there.

The District Health Officer gave a number of tips to the drivers on first Aid and evacuation of injured persons to the nearest health centre in the wake of a road mishap.

The ARTO said that the purpose of this camp was to ensure that people with poor eyesight are not allowed to drive.
