“I can say with guarantee that 100 pc,” Telangana CM exudes confidence in retaining power
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], August 6 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday exuded confidence that his party will retain power in Telangana by winning the upcoming Assembly polls that are scheduled to be held later this year, saying party will secure an increase of seven to eight seats compared to the number of seats it won in the last polls.
“I can say with guarantee that 100 per cent, we will win seven or eight seats more than last elections, no one needs to doubt it,” KCR said ahead of the upcoming Telangana assembly elections this year.
In 2018 elections, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) won 88 seats and in 2014 it won 63 seats.
Telangana will go to assembly elections later this year along with Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Mizoram.
Earlier today, the Telangana Legislative Assembly adjourned sine die for the fourth day of the monsoon session.
Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy announced the sine die adjournment of the House.
The last session of the Telangana legislative assembly in this term (2018-2023) started on August 3.
The Budget Session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly will begin on February 3.
It was the last Budget session for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, as the state assembly elections are scheduled to be held later this year.
