DC Ramban launches Mission Indradhanush 5.0, flags off team of vaccinators

RAMBAN, August 7:  Like in other parts of India, the Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 -universal immunization campaign was today launched under Janbhagidari Mission programme across Ramban district .

In the main programme at District Hospital, the team of vaccinators was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam. 

Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kamal Zadu, Medical Superintendent DH  Dr Virender,  Dy CMO Dr Dr Gurmit Kour and others  attended the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that under this campaign all children below 5 years and pregnant mothers will be vaccinated against several life threatening diseases free of cost.

 The campaign will run in three phases-from August 7 to 12,from September 11 to September 16 and then from October 9 to 14.  

Similar programme was also held at CHC Batote where the  DDC Member,  Jagbeer Das along with Dy. CMO, Dr.Gurmit Kour flagged off the team of vaccinators.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner went around the wards and interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about the facilities being extended to them by the hospital.  . He also checked the duty roster of the doctors and paramedical staff. He passed directions to officers to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the Hospital and provide all medical facilities to OPD & IPD patients in a hassle-free manner.
