Students, staff take Panch Prann Pratigya at GDC Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 09: In continuation of series of events under Meri Maati Mera Desh(MMMD) campaign,  the Coordination Committee for MMMD in collaboration with NSS Units and NCC Battalions (Boys and Girls)  of Government Degree College Udhampur today organised the Panch Prann Pratigya Program on the College Vaatika under the supervision of the college Principal and Patron  Prof. Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta.

Dr. Pankaj Sharma and Dr. Ajay Kumar were the members of the Coordination team for the event.

The program started with a formal welcome and orientation about the MMMD by the Nodal Officer and coordinator Dr. Pankaj Sharma.

In his address, the Patron and Principal Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta apprised the participants about the core theme of Meri Maati Mera Desh. He asked them to participate in the campaign with an open heart and dedication to make it a memorable eevent. He said that all of us in one voice shall show our loyalty to the soil that feeds and rear us. He reiterated that students of today are the future of the country, and strong youth today will lead to a better tomorrow for our great nation and they should be dedicated for the cause of the nation and for that be sincere to their studies, and service to the parents and the Nation.

He also advised the young students to stay away from every kind of addiction and take prann to dedicatedly contribute towards promotion of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

Later the faculty members of the college along with the NSS Volunteers and  NCC Cadets took Panch Prann Pratigya while holding the Desh Ki Mati and Tringa in their hands.
