OBCs of J&K, is tired by waiting their Rights: Adv.Suresh Dogra

JAMMU, Aug 11 : A Press conference presided over by Senior leader JKPCC,OBC Chairman and member All India Congress Committe (AICC) Adv.Suresh Dogra was held here at party Headquarters Shaheedi chowk Jammu.This Press conference was particularly only on the issue’s of Other Backward Classes of Jammu and Kashmir.

   Addressing the media Adv.Suresh Dogra briefed that the weaker section of Other Backward Classes have got nothing till now except the tall and falls  promises by Modi led government who have tall claimed on the day of abrogation  of Article 370 and 35A,in the words of Home Minister of India Shri Amti Shah that the OBC of J&K would be huge benefited but inspite of celebrating 9 saal Bemisaal,the OBC of J&K is facing 9 saal jumlebaaj. Condemning the BJP-led Modi government and UT Administration for disregarding the 52% OBC population of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Adv.Suresh said the OBC Department of Congress has actively campaigned through press conferences, protests, and memorandum submissions, yet the LG and Central Government continue to ignore the rights of this marginalized section.

        Advocate Suresh Dogra criticized the BJP for treating the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) as a mere vote bank, using false Hinduism propaganda by RSS and BJP. When the OBCs demand their legal, political, and constitutional rights, they are conveniently ignored.

   Dogra highlighted that the OBC status and the Mandal Commission report, which guarantees 27% reservation and the extension of the National Commission for Backward Classes, have been completely disregarded in the UT. Despite the completely implementation of national laws after the abrogation of Article 370, the national laws pertaining to OBCs have been totally neglected. This community which has been fighting for its rights for the past three decades, had hoped that their demands would be fulfilled in the UT but were disappointed by the ruling party’s reservation policy & repetition of reservation policy 2004 in which OBCs of J&K are again on the old pattern of sufferings.

Dogra further criticized the RSS and BJP, stating that they cater to the interests of capitalists and have never truly supported the underprivileged and weaker sections of Indian society. He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gained votes by claiming to belong to the OBC community, of being the real enemy of this section.

The OBC Department of Pradesh Congress Committee demands complete OBC status in J&K UT,with the Chairman and Members in the SEBC representing the same community which is at present Chaired by Retd.Justice G.D.Sharma with two members from other Community.They also seek the extension of NCBC, inclusion of an OBC column in the caste-based census in India, and an increase in the income slab from 8 lakh to 15 lakh,Political reservation,& also a Pichhda varg regiment on the pattern of other regiment like Gorkha regiment or Sikh Regiment.
