Meri Maati Mera Desh: DDC Chairperson B’la presides programme at Kreeri
Panch Pran Pledge among other activities carried out at the Event
BARAMULLA, August 11: As part of the ongoing ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign being celebrated throughout the country with zeal and fervour, the Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safeena Beigh today presided over a grand function at Kreeri village of Wagoora block.
On the occasion, the Chairperson DDC carried out a range of activities envisaged in the campaign.
Assistant Commissioner Development, Shabir Ahmad Hakak; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Baramulla, Gulzar Ahmad Khan; District Panchayat officer, Tehsildar Wagoora, heads/ representatives of several departments, PRIs, students, volunteers among other prominent stakeholders marked their overwhelming participation.
At the outset, the DDC Chairperson inaugurated the memorable board ‘Shilaphalakam’ to pay tributes to the freedom fighters of the country.
While paying salutations, Safeena Beigh said that the bravery and patriotism of the freedom fighters will remain an inspiration for ages.
Meanwhile, Panch Pran pledge was taken at the occasion which aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and responsibilities among the people.
