Congress to enroll 5 thousand “Samvidhan Rakshak” across J&K
SC Department JKPCC holds Executive meeting
JAMMU, August 12: Dr. Karan Bhagat , Chairman SC Department of JKPCC held a meeting of Executive Body here today at PCC HQ Shaheedi Chowk Jammu in which various ways and means were discussed to apprise the people at the grass root level about the policies and programmes of the Congress party and to ensure that each section of the society get its due share in every sphere of life.
Speaking on the occasion Karan Bhagat highlighted the anti democratic and unconstitutional actions of BJP Govt. thereby disturbing the peace and Social and religious harmony as well as weakening the Constitutional and democratic institutions in the Country. He said that the Congress workers and all right thinking citizens have to fight and defeat the ideology of BJP. He said that father of nation Mahatma Gandhi preached non-violence, religious brotherhood and truthfulness and to respect the diversity in our pluralistic society to keep the country united and strong and maintain peace and harmony. India attained a place in the community of nations as a messanger of peace with capabilities to maintain unity in diversity. Today the ideals and philosophy of Gandhi ji is under threat in the country and it is time to follow and strengthen his philosophy and defeat the communal and divisive forces, he added.
He also recalled the contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar writing Constitution of India under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Nehru and other great stalwarts of the time. He criticized the attempts to distort history and mislead about the role of great stalwarts for the country. He said that we all should follow the path shown by Baba Sahib for equality and social justice and to bring about complete harmony and unity in diversity. He also reminded about the struggle faced by Baba Sahib against the social evils and backwardness.
Karan Bhagat disclosed that SC Department of JKPCC is going to enroll five thousands youth as “Samvidhan Rakshat” to counter the anti dalit agenda and policies of RSS-BJP. Samvidhan Rakshak will be enrolled through Mobile app.
Meeting was attended by C.L. Puri, Ashok Kumar, Narain Dass, Krishan Lal, O.P. Bhagat, Raj Kumar, Subash Chand and others.
