Magnificent Tiranga Rally taken out in Doda  

DODA, August 13: A spectacular display of solidarity and national pride unfolded in Doda as the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign took off with a grand Tiranga Rally, today. Led by Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan and Senior Superintendent of Police, Abdul Qayyum, the rally commenced from the Sports Stadium and was witnessed by an enthusiastic audience. The Deputy Commissioner’s vibrant interaction and the patriotic slogans filled the air, igniting a surge of motivation and patriotism among the participants.

This remarkable event was a collaborative effort of the District Administration Doda, students, faculty members from different government educational institutions, and members of the civil society. The rally, which commenced from the Sports Stadium Doda, witnessed the lively participation of thousands of school children, local residents, and officials. The colourful spectacle was further enhanced by the presence of scouts from J&K Police, JK Home Guard, SDRF, IRP, NCC, Seema Suraksha Bal, Jammu and Kashmir Police Band, and the Bagpiper Group.

The streets came alive with the vibrant tricolour as students from different schools donned colourful attire and waved flags, echoing patriotic slogans. Notably, a group of bikers adorned their vehicles with striking tricolour designs, captivating every onlooker.

The rally’s route, spanning through prominent areas including Dessa Chowk, Clock Tower, Old Bus Stand, Bharath Road, and culminated at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School Doda. Amidst fervent chants of patriotic slogans, participants, proudly clutching the National Flags, exuded a palpable sense of unity and devotion. To reaffirm their commitment to the nation, the participants, which included officers, civil society members, and students, undertook the Panch Pran Pledges. These pledges encompassed resolutions for a “developed” India, eradicating servitude, cherishing our legacy, fortifying unity, and fulfilling citizen duties towards the nation. Administered by the DC himself, the pledge ceremony underscored their unwavering dedication to upholding the country’s values.

The ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign persists in nurturing a profound sense of belonging and camaraderie among Doda’s residents. Events like the Tiranga Rally serve as resounding testimonials to the unyielding patriotism that courses through the community’s veins, uniting them in a shared vision for a stronger, more prosperous India.
