India’s freedom struggle is an inspiration for everyone: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], August 15 (ANI): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hoisted the National Flag at the 77th Independence Day celebrations at the Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar. Addressing the gathering, he said that India’s freedom struggle is an inspiration for everyone and that the state is making economic progress with the poverty rate declining.

 “India’s freedom struggle ushered in a new era in the history of the world. This struggle is an inspiration for everyone,” the Chief Minister said, adding that India has been able to establish itself as a major power.

“The successful launch of Chandrayaan 3 has cemented India’s place as an important nation in space research,” Patnaik said in his Independence Day speech.

He said that Odisha has transformed with the state undergoing major positive changes in education, healthcare, tourism, infrastructure and other fields due to the application of the 5T initiative  

 “Poverty has decreased in the state. And we have been receiving investments worth crores of rupees creating job opportunities for youths. Odisha government has decided to open banking outlets in 4,373 unbanked panchayats in the state,” he said.

“More than 4 lakh beneficiaries have been included in the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana. They will get pension under the scheme from today,” Patnaik added.

The Chief Minister said that Odisha’s economic development is inclusive as all sections of the people like the poor, farmers, women, tribals, artists and youths are benefited from the growth.
