NC celebrates 77th Independence Day with patriotism & unity

Restore democracy in J&K by reinstating statehood, holding Assembly elections: Rattan Lal

JAMMU AuG 16th : J&K National Conference celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and unity at the Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu.

On the occasion, Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President, hoisted the National Flag in presence of party functionaries.

Addressing the gathering, Rattan Lal Gupta threw light on the supreme sacrifices made by the freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Chander Shekhar Azad, Subash Chander Bose and many more for getting freedom from the clutches of the English Kingdom and for the betterment of the people and the country. He emphasized that it’s our collective responsibility to fulfill their dream of a united Indian nation where all sections of society, regardless of caste, color, or creed, coexist harmoniously. Mr Gupta said we must also remember great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi father of the Nation, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Sher-e- Kashmir Sheikh Mohd Abdullah who countributed for the development of the country.

The J&K National Conference remains committed to realizing the dreams of these brave freedom fighters, Gupta said and stressed the urgent need to strengthen communal harmony and brotherhood, as these virtues form the bedrock of a prosperous and unified nation. The party is dedicated to bring peace and prosperity to Jammu and Kashmir.

Gupta expressed his hope for the swift  restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, as well as the importance of conducting Assembly elections to restore democracy in the region. He called upon the Government at the Centre to take immediate action in this regard.

The J&K National Conference is determined to work towards the principles of “Jamuriyat” (democracy), “Secularism,” and “Socialism.” These values form the guiding principles of the party’s vision for a more inclusive and equitable society, he said, adding that the Party is committed to protect the land and employment rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“As we celebrate our nation’s independence, the J&K National Conference stands firm in its commitment to fight for the aspirations and rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The party pledges to continue working towards a more prosperous, united, and harmonious India,” he added.

Mr Rattan Lal hoisted tricolor flag at Indra Chowk Jammu which was organized by District President Jammu Urban Chander Mohan Sharma. The following Prominent persons were present  in the flag hoisting ceremony: Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Vijay Lakhshmi Datta, Raghbir Singh Manhas, Kuldeep Sharma, Ankush Abrol, Ashwani Charak, Shabir Sambyal, Rakesh Sharma and others.

Meanwhile Mr Gupta hoisted tricolor flag Digana Chowk Jammu  which was organized by Mohd Aslam Adv. Central Zone Vice President. Large number of local people were present on this occasion Mr Aslam also arranged lunch for the participants at his residence to celebrate 15th of August,2023.
