Jammu University organises lecture on theme ‘Awareness About Usage Of Library Resources’

Jammu, August, 17: P.G. Department of Commerce organized a lecture on the theme “Awareness about Usage of Library Resources” on 17th August 2023 in the New Seminar Hall cum Interactive Room of the Department of Commerce.

The program commenced with the formal welcome address by Ms. Ranjana Kapoor, Librarian and Coordinator for the event. She introduced the theme and highlighted the importance of library resources to both students and research scholars. 

 Ms. Azmat Chowdhary, Assistant Librarian, Dhanvantari Library, University of Jammu was the Resource person for the day who highlighted the diverse range of resources available within the university’s library including digital databases, research journals, books and specialized tools. Participants gained insights into effective research strategies, citation techniques and how to access and leverage cutting-edge academic resources. Further, she enlightened the students about different newspapers available in the Dhanvantari Library for students and research Scholars. She also shared various free access journal links. She also encouraged the attendees to make an effective use of the resources available within the University campus.

 Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, HoD Commerce expresses her heartfelt gratitude for her valuable contribution in providing information about relevant resources available that enhance learning experience of students and scholars. 

The event was attended by the faculty members Dr. Tarsem Lal, Dr. Harleen Kaur, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Rupa Mahajan, Dr. Vishal Gupta, Dr. Sumeet Kour and Dr. Deepti Abrol, students, scholars and office staff of the Department.
