MD JKRLM visits Baramulla, conducts review of District’s Work, Emphasizes Social Mobilization, Inclusion

BARAMULLA, AUGUST 20: Mission Director Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM), Indu Kanwal Chib today  visited Baramulla to conduct a comprehensive review of the work executed by JKRLM in the district .The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress made across various thematic areas and provide valuable insights and guidance for timely achievement of various indicators.

During the visit, the Mission Director held a meeting with the District Program Managers (DPMs), Block Program Managers (BPMs), and the Management Information System (MIS) team. She focused on reviewing different thematic areas, including Institution Building and Capacity Building (IBCB), Farm and Non-Farm Livelihoods, and Financial Inclusion. The MD closely examined the progress made in each block and provided valuable feedback to enhance the implementation process and ensure that the benefits of special projects reached out to the most vulnerable women led households.

She directed the team in Baramulla to remain focused and determined to achieve the targets set for the fiscal year 2023-24. She specifically emphasized the importance of social mobilization and inclusion, urging the team to ensure that all households are included in development initiatives. The MD stressed the need to expedite efforts to reach households that have been left out by December 2023.

Furthermore, the MD acknowledged and appreciated the dedicated and exemplary efforts of the JKRLM team in Baramulla. She commended their commitment and hard work, recognizing the positive impact they have made on the lives of the rural SHG women. Her words of encouragement highlighted their effective implementation of programs and their persistence in improving the community’s well-being.

The visit concluded with a clear directive to the JKRLM team in Baramulla to remain dedicated towards achieving their goals and making a significant difference in the lives of rural women in the district.
