Advisor Ladakh launches Revolutionary Government Project Monitoring System (GPMS) in Ladakh
LEH, August 17: The Advisor to Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, UT Ladakh/Chairman of Sindhu Infrastructure Development Corporation (SIDCO) Ltd Dr Pawan Kotwal launched the Government Project Monitoring System (GPMS) developed by SIDCO in partnership with HDFC Bank.
The Government Project Monitoring System (GPMS) is a revolutionary initiative of the UT Administration that is set to transform project (works) management and monitoring by ensuring enhanced efficiency in the implementation of various government projects across Ladakh.
GPMS (Government Project Monitoring System) is an application (Mobile App & cloud impetus) for monitoring and effective implementation of projects(works) collaborating with Government Departments, Engineering teams, Contractors, and Quality Control professionals on one mobile management platform.
SIDCO Ltd which is the UT owned Company has developed the application GPMS in partnership with HDFC Bank which was officially launched today by the advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal in the presence of the Commissioner Secretary, PWD/PHE/GAD, UT of Ladakh, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, & Administrative Secretary, IT, Amit Sharma.
Other dignitaries of the PWD and HDFC were also present during the launch of the application which included the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD), Ladakh, Tashi Chombel, Superintending Engineer of PWD Leh, Dorjay Gyatso, and from HDFC, Anurag Kucchal, Regional Head, Owais Rehman, Cluster Head, Tahir Ahmad Khan, Assistant Vice President, and Tsering Lamo, Area Head – Government Institutional Business.
Ajeet Kumar Sahu Commissioner/Secretary, PWD/Managing Director SIDCO while welcoming the guest highlighted the conceptualization of the online platform, its important features, and its relevance in the Departments.
The Advisor, Ladakh Dr Pawan Kotwal, and Amit Sharma, Secretary Information Technology also lauded the initiatives taken by SIDCO led by Ajeet Kumar Sahu, IAS in conceptualizing and developing the online platform i.e., Government Project Monitoring System (GPMS).
The launch of the online platform will mark a significant milestone in the region’s journey towards enhanced e-governance and development. The newly unveiled platform offers an array of features designed to provide the Engineering Department and stakeholders with every aspect of project planning, management, and monitoring from project inception to project completion and maintenance.
