Copper futures slip amid muted demand

New Delhi, Aug 21 (PTI) Copper futures on Monday fell by 30 paise to Rs 725.35 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for August delivery eased 30 paise or 0.04 per cent to Rs 725.35 per kg in a business turnover of 1,357 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
