District Hospital Kishtwar rebuts accusation against Medico

KISHTWAR, August 21: District Hospital Kishtwar has refuted claims of unprofessional conduct by a Hospital Doctor being made by circulating a video on social media.

Refuting the claims, the District Hospital clarified that the video has been taken out of context and is intended to defame and mislead the public. A statement of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr M Y Mir asserted that the incident has been grossly misrepresented.  The objective of this misinformation appears to be to tarnish the reputation of Dr. Mohammad Ashraf MS Ortho, possibly driven by ulterior motives, he stated.

“The incident under question involves an emergency situation where the doctor on duty was attending to a critical epileptic patient in the casualty. The patient’s immediate medical needs took precedence, and Dr. Mohd Ashraf MS Ortho acted promptly to provide the necessary care. It is important to note that the doctor’s actions were focused on the patient’s well-being, even in the face of distractions caused by the person shooting the video.

The video’s authenticity is questioned as the person recording the incident was asked to leave the area due to disruptions hindering the doctor’s ability to perform his duties effectively. This action was taken to ensure the patient’s safety and proper medical attention” the CMO daid.

He further reassured the public that the medical staff, including Dr Mohd Ashraf, MS Ortho, is deeply committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services. The Hospital Administration has appealed to the public to disregard false information and refrain from contributing to unnecessary panic.

The official report emphasizes Dr. Mohd Ashraf’s valuable contributions to the healthcare system, citing his active involvement in various medical camps and events that benefit the community. The dedication and hard work of the medical staff as a whole are recognized and appreciated.
