CM Arvind Kejriwal dedicates 5 new Mohalla Clinics to city
New Delhi [India], August 22 (ANI): Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday dedicated five new Mohalla Clinics including a Mahilla Mohalla Clinic to the city.
Speaking at the event, Kejriwal said, “The doctors and staff in all our mohalla clinics are very good. They have won the hearts of people”.
AAP national convenor said that eleven mohalla clinics were functioning in Greater Kailash.
The new facilities are located at Keshopur Sabzi Mandi, Shahbad Diary (a general Mohalla clinic and Mahilla Mohalla clinic), Govindpuri and kalkaji market.
The party on its social media platform, X, formerly called Twitter said a total of 533 Mohalla Clinics were now working in the National Capital.
“Out of which 512 are working in Morning Shift and 21 in Evening Shift,” AAP tweeted.
Mohalla Clinics, which were launched in 2015, are community health centres initially introduced in New Delhi that provide a free basic package of necessary medical services, including prescription drugs, diagnostic tests, and consultations.
The AAP government in Punjab led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated 76 Mohalla Clinics in the state on the eve of Independence Day on August 14.
