Golden Globes 2023: RRR Wins Best Original Song For the Song ‘Naatu Naatu’

The Golden Globe Awards are annual awards that recognise outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, both in film and television. The awards are presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), a group of entertainment journalists from around the world. The Golden Globe Awards ceremony is typically held in January, and the winners are selected by the HFPA’s voting membership. 

The 80th Golden Globe Awards are currently being held in Los Angeles, and the movie RRR won the best original song for the song ‘Naatu Naatu.’ The song was composed by MM Keeravani and penned by Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Kamineni represented RRR at the Golden Globes. 

It’s a moment of pride for India, and on the occasion, many people rejoiced and congratulated the team on their social media platform. RRR movie Twitter handle reads, “ INDIAAAAAAAA…. THIS IS THE BEST NEWS to WAKE UP TO!! #NaatuNaatu becomes the first ever Asian song to win a #GoldenGlobes . #RRRMovie.” After reading the post by RRR movie, Shah Rukh Khan responded and tweeted, “Sir just woke up and started dancing to Naatu Naatu celebrating your win at Golden Globes. Here’s to many more awards and making India so proud.”

The actor, film producer and former politician, Chiranjeevi, tweeted, “What a Phenomenal, Historic Achievement !!!! Golden Globes Best Original Song – Motion Picture Award to @mmkeeravaani garu !! Take a Bow! Heartiest Congratulations Team @RRRMovie&@ssrajamouli !! India is proud of you! #NaatuNaatu.”

The movie RRR has been directed by SS Rajamouli starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.
