Meri Maati Mera Desh Event at Nimoo celebrates heroes and unity

Leh, August 22: The “Meri Maati Mera Desh” event held at Nimoo witnessed a gathering of dignitaries, officials, and residents, paying tribute to the valour of martyrs and fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie within the community.

The Chief Guest for the event was Amit Sharma, Secretary Rural Development Department, UT Ladakh. Additional District Development Commissioner of Leh, representatives from Lieutenant Colonel Rajput Battalion Nimoo, the Chairperson of Nimoo’s BDC, DPO Leh, and members of the Rural Development Department, along with staff and students of High School Nimoo were also present during the event.

On the occasion, Administrative Secretary Amit Sharma paid tribute to the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation. Their unwavering dedication and bravery were remembered with solemn respect. The families of the martyrs were felicitated, and tokens of appreciation were presented to them as a mark of gratitude for their sacrifices. This gesture not only expressed the nation’s deep indebtedness but also highlighted the unbreakable bond between our Bravehearts and the community they protected.
