NABARD holds Sensitization programme for NGOs at Anantnag
DDM NABARD stresses on NGOs for focused outreach to upscale interventions in rural areas
ANANTNAG, January 11: A one day capacity building training programme to sensitize the participating NGOs regarding the various schemes of government implemented through the NGOs was today held at Dak Bungalow, here.
District Development Manager (DDM), Rouf Zargar was the chief guest on the occasion.
The workshop was attended by representatives of NGOs working under different NABARD aided developmental projects in Anantnag district.
DDM NABARD stressed the NGOs for focused outreach to upscale interventions in rural areas. He discussed the pace of various projects such as FPO, JLG, watershed, Rural Marts among others.
He urged the NGOs to reach out to the grassroots level and explore the potential areas of convergence in farm and off-farm sector through discussion with panchayats, village committees, development departments to mitigate the constraints in marketing of farm produce of FPOs, handicrafts products and village crafts.
Representatives of PARC Foundation NGO from Mumbai also attended the meeting to discuss the possible marketing linkages of Mushqbudji FPO of Sagam.
