JAMMU  University Dept of Physics celebrates the success of Chandrayaan-3 

Jammu, August 24: The Department of Physics, University of Jammu celebrates the success of moon mission, Chandrayaan-3, by organizing a function in the department under the able guidance and motivation of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Umesh Rai. 

On this occasion, the Head of the Department, Prof. Arun Bharti addressed the gathering by congratulating the ISRO team of Scientists responsible for this successful moon mission. He expressed his joyful feelings and shed light on the history of space missions carried out by India in the past also. He encouraged the students and research scholars of the department for developing some creative minds to do extraordinary work in science and technology so that their efforts could be remembered in future. 

The other faculty members including Prof. Naresh Padha, Prof. Rajni Kant, Prof. K.K. Bamzai and Prof. Ramni Gupta also spoke on the occasion. Prof. Naresh Padha motivated the students for some collaborative research in future that wouldhelp in bringing out some memorable moments like Chandrayaan-3. Prof. Rajni Kant related the significance of moon based Hindu rituals with latest science and technology developments.Prof. Bamzaireminds the students about the space missions of India in the past. 

He compared the latest scientific technologies with the earlier phases of life. Prof. Ramni Gupta also shared her feelings about the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3. This function was attended by various faculty members, non-teaching employees, research scholars and students of the department.
