Two Week Stationery Donation Drive-II commences at Kathua Campus, University of Jammu

Kathua, August 30: Kathua Campus, University of Jammu commenced a Two Week Stationery Donation Drive-II aimed at providing essential learning tools to underprivileged children of the adopted village Kathera.

Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu said that this initiative reflects our commitment for bridging educational gaps and fostering a brighter future for children who lack access to basic learning resources. She further added that education is the cornerstone of a thriving society, and every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow. She further said that many children from marginalized backgrounds face obstacles in their educational journey due to limited access to even the most fundamental tools and Kathua Campus (JU) recognizes this challenge and always takes the initiatives to make a positive impact. She reiterated that through this stationery donation drive, Kathua Campus (JU) aims to provide the children in our adopted village with the resources they need to excel in their studies and pursue their dreams. 

Dr. Sourabh Shastri, Convener of the Stationery Collection Drive and In-charge Head, Computer Science, Kathua Campus (JU) urged everyone to contribute new or gently used stationery items such as notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, art supplies etc. He further said these seemingly small contributions can make a significant difference in the lives of these children, helping them to unleash their creativity and potential.

Dr. Sunny Sharma, Ms. Ritika Goyal, Mr. Pranav Ratta, Dr. Zahin Ansari, Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Ms. Tiharika Nath, and Ms. Kamakshi were also present in this event.
