DC calls for extensive outreach programs to spread awareness among general public

GANDERBAL, September 04: To create awareness, educate the public and to eliminate corruption and promote transparent governance, a Brashtachaar Mukt J&K week started today with the active participation of officers and other stakeholders in the district Ganderbal.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today convened a meeting which was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah and other district officers and emphasized on active participation of all the concerned officers along with PRIs and public during the week-long campaign.

He stressed for reforming and further improving  grievances redressal System and directed for adopting modern methodology tools for better accountability and efficient mechanism of managing grievances of the general public during the week.

While stressing upon the transparency and accountability, the DC directed all the officers to ensure that the matters of public importance pertaining to their departments are flagged and appropriately addressed during the week getting PRIs on board regarding resolving their local issues.

Various extensive awareness programs were conducted in which Officers highlighted the adverse impact of corruption on society and the collective responsibility to eradicate it.
