Joint Secretary MoRD Smriti Sharan engages in productive dialogue with SHGs in Ladakh

Leh September 05: In a significant development aimed at strengthening the grassroots rural economy, the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) GoI, Smriti Sharan attended a special meeting with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) registered under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) at Community Hall in Chushot Yokma on September 4.

Notably, the meeting also saw the presence of key officials, including National Mission Manager of NRLM, Vasuda Shukla;  Director of RDD, UT Ladakh, Tahir Hussain: Councillor Chushot Constituency; Block Development Officer (BDO); Sarpanches, supporting staff under NRLM and other officials of BDO Ofiice Chushot .

During the event, Smriti Sharan engaged in a productive interaction with SHG members from Chushot and Thiksay blocks. The SHG members presented updated outcomes and identified areas of improvement within their respective groups.
