One day Psycho-social awareness program held at Women’s College M.A Road Srinagar

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 05: As part of month-long psycho-social awareness program on mental health and drug de-addiction by Mission Youth, a pioneer initiative of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir today held a one day awareness program at Government College for Women, M.A Road, Srinagar.

The event successfully united participants, faculty members and experts to raise awareness about mental health and combat drug abuse.

Mission Youth’s overarching vision is to provide well-structured psycho-social support to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, nurturing a sense of safety, self-assuredness, community engagement, social connectivity and hope.

During the event, Psycho-socio Consultant from Mission Youth delivered a compelling introductory speech, offering a concise insight into the profound initiative taken by Mission Youth.

Additionally, Senior Consultant, Mission Youth also shared his invaluable insights regarding the various initiatives spearheaded by Mission Youth, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of the region’s youth.

The event bore witness to an impressive turnout of participants and faculty members, illustrating the community’s strong support and enthusiasm for Mission Youth’s laudable mission.

Dr. Nelofar, an Expert/resource person from IMHANS took the stage and delivered a captivating address, stressing the importance of mental health awareness and the prevention of drug abuse.

Dr. Nelofar’s keynote speech illuminated key facets of mental health, which includes Mental Health Literacy, Emotional Intelligence, Stress Management, Healthy Relationships, Self-Care and Well-being, Peer Support and Social Connections and Awareness of Mental Health Resources.

This one-day psycho-social program at Government College for Women, M.A Road, Srinagar, stands as a testament to Mission Youth’s steadfast commitment to creating a brighter and more empowered future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
