Bhrastachar Mukt J&K Week: Awareness/ Grievance Redressal Programs held across MCs at Bandipora
BANDIPORA, September 06: In view of ongoing Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week, Municipal Committees Bandipora, Sumbal and Hajin Wednesday organised awareness camps in their respective town halls.
At MC Hajin, the program was presided over by ADDC Bandipora Afsar Ali Khan. Besides, the programme was attended by MC Chairman Irshad Ahmad Wani, Naib Tehsildar Hajin, Executive Officer MC Hajin, Sheep and Wool Development Officer Hajin, a huge gathering of locals.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC said that the aim of observing ‘Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week’ is to eradicate corruption and promote transparent and accountable governance.
The ADDC urged people to come forward and help the administration in the identification of the officers and officials involved in the corruption.
Similar functions were held in MC Bandipora and MC Sumbal wherein awareness campaigns were held to educate people regarding the menace of corruption and factors to combat it.
Chairman MC Bandipora Basharat Najar urged people to participate in the ongoing campaign against corruption by attending the various events and utilizing the Grievance and Complaint Redressal Camps.
Chairman MC Sumbal, Jahangir Ahmad Dar also appealed people to participate in the ongoing awareness programmes organised by district administration and respective municipal committees/councils.
