South Western Railway’s Bengaluru division recognized for promoting Hindi
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], September 9 (ANI): The Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway has been making strides in promoting Hindi as the official language within its ranks, according to an official statement.
In recognition of their efforts, Kusuma Hariprasad, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Admin) and Ex. Officio Additional Rajbhasha Officer, Bengaluru Division, was honored with the Railway Minister’s Silver Medal and a Citation on August 28 by the Chairman and Chief Rajbhasha Officer of the Railway Board in New Delhi, read the South Western Railways press release.
This award, presented for the year 2021-22, acknowledges Hariprasad’s leadership and dedication in guiding the Rajbhasha Staff of Bengaluru Division.
Her efforts have played a role in motivating the division’s staff to embrace Hindi as the primary language for official communication in their day-to-day operations, the press release said.
Under Kusuma Hariprasad’s guidance, the Bengaluru Division has actively worked towards propagating the use of Hindi as the official language, aligning with the national language policy.
This initiative not only enhances linguistic diversity but also promotes efficient communication within the division, it said.
The Railway Minister’s Silver Medal and Citation serve as a testament to the commitment and achievements of South Western Railway’s Bengaluru Division in advancing the use of Hindi as the official language, fostering a harmonious work environment, and contributing to the larger vision of promoting linguistic unity across the railway network, it added.
