DC Samba discusses Export Action Plan with Stakeholders

SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 14: The District Export Promotion Committee Samba, a coalition of experts representing various key sectors, convened a pivotal meeting under the leadership of District Development Commissioner, Samba, Abhishek Sharma. The primary purpose of this gathering was to deliberate on the district’s Export Action Plan, aiming to boost the district’s export potential significantly.

The meeting brought together distinguished members from diverse sectors. The participants included General Manager District Industries Centre (DIC) Samba, CPO Samba, CAO Samba, CHO Samba, AD Handlooms and Handicrafts etc

The chair emphasized the crucial role of sustainable agricultural practices in enhancing Samba’s export landscape. He advocated for the adoption of modern techniques and technologies to meet global standards.

He highlighted the significance of promoting high-value horticultural products and explored avenues for their export to global markets, contributing a horticultural perspective to the export plan.

The Lead District Manager, offered insights into financial mechanisms and support systems that could be leveraged to facilitate export-oriented ventures within the district, providing essential financial expertise.

District Development Manager (DDM) NABARD underscored potential collaborations and financial assistance opportunities available through NABARD, which can significantly bolster export-oriented projects in the district.

The chair further emphasized the rich heritage and skilled craftsmanship present in the district and discussed strategies to position Samba’s handicrafts and handloom products on the global stage, highlighting the district’s cultural and artistic strengths.
