Govt. Degree College Mahanpur celebrates Hindi Diwas
KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 14 To commemorate the adoption of Hindi in the Devanagari script as one of the official languages of the nation, GDC Mahanpur today organised a program to mark Hindi Diwas in the college today.
The event was organized under the patronage of Principal of the College Dr. Sangeeta Sudan. In her address, the Principal explained that Hindi Diwas is important event as it symbolizes the rich linguistic diversity of India and promotes the use and preservation of the Hindi language.
The program was hosted by HOD Hindi Dr. Sapna Devi.
Other faculty staff mentors Including Prof Arvind Kumar, Prof Meena Devi, Prof Saurabh Dutta, Dr. Parshotam Dass, Dr.Hilal Ahmed Bhat, Dr. Md. Sardar Bharti, Prof. Suman, Prof Ajay Singh Manhas also attended the programme.
The program was started with lighting of lamp by the Principal.
About 20 students participated in various activities like speech, dancing, skit, song, poster making and rangoli making.
Dr. Sangeeta Sudan appreciated the efforts of the Hindi department.
