GGZSMDC Reasi organises poster making, awareness lecture-cum-interaction program on “Relevance of Truth and Non-violence”

REASI, September 21: National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Singh Degree College, Reasi, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, on Thursday organized a Poster-Making and Awareness Lecture-cum-interaction Program on the topic “The Relevance of Truth and Non-violence.”

More than 100 students & NSS volunteers participated and interacted with the resource persons including Prof. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Rajinder Kumar, Prof. Palvinder Kumari, Dr. Sandeepa and Dr. Tanveer.

Interacting with the students and volunteers, Prof. Ajay Kumar highlighted the role of truth and non-violence in our National Freedom Movement led by Mahatma Gandhi and their relevance in the present times. He further added that Truth and non-violence are the weapons of the stronger and can help us in spreading peace in the state, society and the world.

The Program was organized as part of the upcoming Gandhi Jayanti on the directions of the college Principal, Dr. Kulvinder Kour under the supervision of Prof. Ajay Kumar, NSS Program Officer and head of the Department of Political Science. Others present on the occasion include Prof. Anchal Raj, Prof. Sunil Magotra, Dr. Mukesh Kumar and Dr. Saleem Ahmed.
