DDC Chairperson joins Maha Yagyi at Gangpukhri Asthapan temple at Lar
GANDERBAL, September 23: District Development Chairperson Ganderbal (DDC), Nuzhat Ishfaq on Saturday visited the Gangpukhri Asthapan temple at Lar Ganderbal and joined Pandit community at Maha Yagyi (Hawan).
During the Maha Yagi prayers were offered for peace and prosperity in the region as well as for the safe return of Kashmiri Pandits to their homeland.
Kashmiri pandits thronged the temple from different parts of the valley to participate in the religious function.
The Gangpukhri Asthapan temple in Lar Ganderbal has always been a place of spiritual significance for the local community and the Maha Yagi was a special occasion for people to come together and seek blessings.
