I&C department hosts awareness camp on PMEGP at Polytechnic College Samba

SAMBA, September 25: An Awareness Camp on Prime Minister Employment Guarantee Program (PMEGP), State package/Centre Sector Scheme and its  Incentives and benefits was today organized by the Industries and Commerce Department here in Government Polytechnic College, Samba.

   Functional Manager apprised that 39 cases stand sponsored by DIC Samba so far in the current financial year and urged the attending students to avail its benefits to create start ups. The Functional Manager appreciated the initiatives taken by the Department of Skill Development to facilitate the youths of the remote area for setting up their businesses.

 Earlier, the resource persons from DIC Samba delivered lectures on schemes of the Industries & Commerce Department. They informed the students that DIC Samba is facilitating the prospective entrepreneurs to start their own ventures under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), where in the entrepreneurs can avail loans upto Rs. 50.00 lakh under manufacturing sector and Rs. 20.00 lakh under services sector and subsequently avail the subsidy from 15% to 35%.
