PM Modi arrives in Gwalior to lay foundation stones of several projects
Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 2 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Gwalior on Monday to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of several projects of public interest in the city.
The Prime Minister waved at the residents who were looking forward to his visit since morning.
Earlier in the day Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the Prime Minister will launch development projects worth Rs 19,000 crores related to various sectors in the state.
“Today PM Modi will come to Gwalior. He will launch development projects worth Rs 19,000 crores related to various sectors in the state. Under PM Awas Yojana, the Griha Pravesh of 2.21 lakh houses will be done,” Scindia said speaking to ANI.
Similarly, for irrigation and for ‘Nal Jal Yojana’ projects, PM Modi will dedicate development work of Rs 300 crore for Dabra Bhitarwar region and around Rs 800 crores for Sheopur. Nine new health centres would be launched worth Rs 300 crores, he added.
“New Industrial zones would be launched in Indore and Ujjain. Most importantly, A MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) train would be launched between Gwalior and Sumavali. The PM will inaugurate the National Institute for Divyangs and a sports stadium,” Scinda added.
Madhya Pradesh is scheduled to go to the polls along with four other states later this year.
