GDC Kunjwani organizes Induction Programme for fresher

JAMMU, OCTOBER 04: Government Degree College Kunjwani  IQAC, in collaboration with Career Counseling and NSS Unit , on Wednesday  organized one day “Deeksharambh-Student Induction Programme” for the UG 1st Semester students of session 2023-24.

The programme aimed to welcome the newly admitted students and to acquaint them with the college’s resources, faculty and different academic offerings.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp along with Saraswati Vandana. Thereafter, the Principal of the college Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo, extended a warm welcome to the new students of UG 1st Semester.  

Dr. Neeru Sharma from the Department of English delivered an extensive presentation about National Education Policy-2020. She highlighted  the college’s infrastructure, support services and the variety of courses available and explained the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in detail vis-à-vis revised course structure, holistic and multidisciplinary approach of NEP 2020.

At the end, the students had the opportunity to ask questions about NEP, academics and admissions .

Dr. Ashaq Hussain from Department of Urdu skillfully moderated the proceedings of the programme. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr.Arti Pandoh Gupta Convener Career Counseling and Placement Cell.
