Opposition can’t compete with BJP in dev, welfare service: Munish

JAMMU, 10 Oct. Once again the opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir have started coming together to form a flock, with nothing to claim but mislead the masses for vote bank politics. The parties, which have recently came on a plateform to hold protest in Jammu, are most of those who were in chair in Jammu and Kashmir but failed to come up to the expectations of the people.

This was stated by Jammu and Kashmir BJP senior leader & former General Secretary Munish Sharma, while terming the ‘alliance’ as the politics of opportunism to remain alive in the public. He said that the people are well aware that the parties like Congress, NC and PDP, were in power in Jammu and Kashmir for decades. They enjoyed the power on their own or entered into coalition for ‘Kursi’ (Chair). Their agenda had been appeasement on communal and regional considerations and Jammu was always given step motherly treatment.

Munish Sharma said that opposition has very important role in a democracy and, as such, their leaders should go to public with their achievements and milestones achieved during their rule but unfortunately, here, in Jammu and Kashmir, only opposing the BJP and the government pleases them. It would be better if they, simultaneously, appreciate the good works of the government, which are visible on ground to everyone.

Munish Sharma further said that comparison between the nine years of government under PM Narendra Modi the seventy years and Congress and NC, and some years of PDP, will make clear that BJP did a lot in short period and took Jammu and Kashmir on new heights of development and public welfare.

“These parties stand nowhere, when one talks of development and social welfare related works of Modi government”, the BJP leader said and added that every attempt of the opposition group will fail to regain the faith of the masses, who have judged that it is only BJP, which deserves public support.
