ADC Ganderbal pays surprise inspection of Trauma hospital Kangan

Directs for timely installation of CT Scanner

GANDERBAL, October 07: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah accompanied by SDM Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather today paid a surprise inspection of Trauma hospital Kangan and reviewed its functioning.

During the inspection, ADC enquired about the facilities being provided to the patients and checked the attendance register and supply position of medicine.

On the occasion, ADC was apprised about several issues being faced including defunct Oxygen plant, separate OPD Ticket counter, drainage and dearth of manpower.

The ADC said that the issues raised will be taken with concerned authorities and assured of timely redressal of all possible issues. He emphasized the need for better utilization of available staff.

It was also informed that the CT Scanner has been procured, for which the ADC asked the MS to ensure installation of Scanner at an earliest so that patients may not need to visit other hospitals for getting CT Scan done.

While interacting with the hospital administration, the ADC stressed upon them to make concerted efforts and streamline the functioning of the hospital so that people of far flung areas do not face any inconvenience in getting proper healthcare facilities.
