District Administration takes action to streamline Traffic & Vending in Shopian Town

SHOPIAN, October 07: In an effort to ease congestion and ensure hassle-free traffic movement in Shopian town, the District Administration Shopian has implemented a devised traffic management plan that includes strict enforcement measures to manage traffic and regulate vending activities.
As part of these endeavors, no vending activities will be allowed in and around the busiest market centres including Clock Tower and Jamia Masjid Shopian.
The District Administration Shopian has designated places for street vendors to carry out their business activities besides ensuring smooth traffic flow. Shifting vendors to allocated areas will not only alleviate traffic congestion but also create a more organized marketplace for the benefit of both vendors and residents.
The District Administration Shopian is dedicated to serving the citizenry of Shopian by providing efficient governance ensuring public safety and promoting sustainable development. With a commitment to improving the quality of life in the region, the District Administration Shopian consistently strives for a better future for its residents, said ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain while reviewing the measures on spot during an overnight visit to the town.
