Himachal govt to withdraw cases registered for violation of Covid-19 norms: CM Sukhu

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], October 10 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday said that the state government would withdraw the cases registered against the people who violated COVID-19 norms during the pandemic and adopt a humanitarian approach.

CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, “The present state government would withdraw the cases registered against the people who violated COVID-19 norms during the pandemic.”

The Chief Minister said that instructions had been issued to the concerned officials in this regard during the Deputy Commissioner/Superintendent of Police conference held here today. He said that the Covid-19 phase was difficult for everyone and to prevent and contain this pandemic, various measures had been taken and restrictions were imposed on the common people.

He further said, “During this period, hundreds of cases were registered for violation of such norms, but the present state government, adopting a humanitarian approach, will now withdraw such cases.”

Himachal Pradesh had reported above 4000 deaths due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
