World Sight Day: Free Eye Camp held at Shopian

SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 12: To observe ‘World Sight Day’ a free Eye Camp was today organized by the Health department at District Administrative Complex Shopian.

On the occasion, awareness was raised about vision loss, blindness as well as vision-related problems, highlighting the importance of good vision for all people.

Follow the 20/20/20 rule in and outside of the workplace, from tiny laptop screens to the biggest televisions, said BMO Shopian. He added, World Sight Day promotes equal access to eye care services, especially for underprivileged and marginalized populations. This emphasizes the need to make eye care affordable and available to all.

During the camp, 265 persons were screened during the day. Spectacles and medicines were provided to patients free of cost.
