Inter-Collegiate fencing (men) championship 2023-24

JAMMU, October 18: Today, On the concluding day of the Fencing (Men) Championship organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, commence at the University Fencing Hall.

The Following competitions were held
Event: Foil Individual

Gold Medal: Praney Singh (PG Deptt. JU)
Silver Medal: Aadher Khajuria (GCET Jammu)
1st Bronze: Gourav Thakur
2nd Bronze: Bhanu Partap Singh

Event Epee Team

Gold: Shivansh Kapoor (GDC Kunjwani)
Silver: Gourav Thakur (GDC Reasi)
1st Bronze: Aadher Khajuria (GCET Jammu)
2nd Bronze: Mohd. Umar (GDC Poonch)
The overall Inter-College Fencing (Men) Championship 2023-24 was won by GDC Reasi.

Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu awarded medals to the winner and overall Winner Trophy to the GDC Reasi team, and other present on the occasion were Sh. Ajay Kumar, Sh. Shashi Kumar Sharma, Sh. Vikas Karlopia, Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Sh. Ravish Vaid, S. Harvinder Singh. Sh. Jai Bharat.

The matches were officiated by Sh. Ajay Kumar, Sh. Veer Sagram Singh, Maninder Pal Singh, Sh. Adarsd Salathia, Ranchan Saberwal, Javed Ahmed Chouwdary and Sdr. P.D Singh. 

Tomorrow the Inter-College Fencing (Women) Championship2023-24 will be organized.
