2-day seminar on Life and Contribution of Iqbal Azim Choudhary for Gojri Language and Literature begins at JKAACL Jammu
JAMMU, October, 18: The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) have successfully begun today with a 2-Day Seminar on Life and Contribution of Iqbal Azim Choudhary for Gojri Language and literature at JKAACL premises in Jammu.
The event was inaugurated by G.D. Tahir, Former Director Doordarshan Srinagar and Padamshree, Dr. Jitender Udhampuri, Former Director AIR, Jammu in presence of Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor and Head Gojri wing JKAACL.
At the outset, Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor and Head Gojri wing JKAACL welcomed the Guests on behalf of Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL. He said that JKAACL under the patronage of Sh. Bharat Singh is doing commendable Job for preservation and development of the Gojri Language in Jammu and Kashmir.
After this Guest of honour Padamshree, Dr. Jitender Udhampuri appreciated the efforts of JKAACL in promoting literature and culture of J&K.
In his presidential address, G .D. Tahir lauded the role of JKAACL specially the Secretary JKAACL for promoting Gojri literature and culture in J&K.
After the inaugural ceremony paper reading session was organised in which the researchers presented papers on Life and Contribution of Late Iqbal Azim Choudhary. Mohd. Mansha Khaki presented Paper on Life and Works of Late Iqbal Azim Choudhary, Abdul Ghani Arif presented a research paper on the life of Iqbal Azim Choudhary, Dr. Mirza Khan Waqaar presented his paper on memories of Late Iqbal Azim Choudhary, Mtr. Zahida Kouser presented a paper on Literary contributions, and G.D. Tahir presented a paper on the Poetic contribution of Late Iqbal Azim Choudhary in Gojri Language. The session was conducted by Mukhtar Choudhary.
This was followed by the Light music programme in which Mohd. Rafi and Ghulam Hassan Tabassum from Kashmir presented the songs from the poetry of Iqbal Azim and mesmerized the audience with their melodious voices.
Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor and Head Gojri wing JKAACL, presented Vote of thanks.
